👆Wugang City is located in the central part of Henan Province and is located at the intersection of the veins of the eastern part of the Funiu Mountains and the Huanghuai Plain. With a total area of 645.67 square kilometers and a population of 319,000, it belongs to Pingdingshan City.
👆The reserve of iron ore in Wugang City amounts to 800 million tons. Jiutouya, Dengtaijia, Erlangshan, Xianglong Valley, Wufengshan, Jiulongshan Scenic Area, Shimantan Reservoir, and Tiangang Reservoir are the scenic spots in the country.
👆In 1970, the state built the Wuyang Special Thick Steel Sheet Plant on the north bank of the northern part of Ma’anshan and Shimantan Reservoir. It was under the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry’s original decentralized project and was established by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry under the decentralized project directly under the Ministry of Metallurgy.
👆In March 1972, the Henan Provincial Pingwu Engineering District Municipal Construction Department was established.
👆In December 1973, the Wuyang Industrial District Office of the Henan Provincial Revolutionary Committee was established. The six communes in the southern part of Wuyang County were designated as the area under the direct jurisdiction of the Henan Provincial Revolutionary Committee. It is an independent administrative region.
👆In May 1977, the office of the Henan Revolutionary Committee Wuyang Industrial Area was cancelled and transferred to Pingdingshan City. In November of the same year, it was named after the Wuyang Steel Company, the largest company in the country, and was called Yuanping Dance Industry Zone and Wugang District.
👆In October 1979, the change was in the Xuchang area. In October 1982, he returned to Pingdingshan.
👆In September 1990, with the approval of the State Council, Wugang District was withdrawn and Wugang City was established.
